I felt very privileged to be asked by owner and creative director of Botanica Weddings, Janet Hogan to do her makeup for her 30 year wedding anniversary celebrations at their inaugural venue Villa Botanica.

Janet requested a look that would show up well in photos, but appear natural to her guests as well.

I used Youngblood mineral primer to prime Janet’s face to create a lovely base for her foundation. I started with the eye makeup in order to keep any make up fall from touching any of the foundation once airbrushed.

I used Urban Decay’s Naked Palette to create a lovely soft and natural look for Janet’s eyes. She naturally has very bright blue eyes and I wanted to heighten these further with earthy tones, I used “toasted” from the UD palette and also a little shimmer called “golden beryl” from Youngblood. Into the contour I used “naked”, which is a matte colour and helps to enhance the contour.

I lined the upper lash line with Youngblood gel liner “eclipse”. To complete the eye makeup I used a waterproof mascara and some individual lashes to give fullness and length the outer lash line. These allow you to enjoy some extra fullness to your lashes whilst keeping the entire look natural.

I used Element2 airbrush makeup canvas blend CB04 – this I airbrushed her entire face and neck and lightly along the décolletage. I also used the Element2 bronzer and highlighter to contour and highlight her face. Her cheeks were dusted in a soft pink along with a very natural nude lip – “bliss” from Youngblood.

To complete her flawless look I lightly powdered Youngblood Hi Definition powder over the top to help with any extra moisture, as they renewed their vowels in the height of summer in the Whitsundays.
